How to Use the Check-in Attendees Tab in Your Organiser Account

Manage guest check-in directly from your Sticky Tickets organiser account — manually mark off attendees, search your guest list, reset check-ins, and manage operators.

The Check-in Attendees tab in your event's organiser account lets you manage guest entry directly from the Sticky Tickets website — no mobile app required. You can manually check in attendees, use a barcode scanner connected to your computer, search your guest list, and manage operators.

Using the mobile app instead? If you're scanning QR codes at the gate using a phone or tablet, see: How to use the Sticky Tickets Check-in App on event day.

How to access the Check-in Attendees tab

  1. Log in to your Sticky Tickets organiser account.
  2. Go to My Events and open your event.
  3. Click the Check-in Attendees tab from the event menu.

The Summary page shows:

  • Total attendees checked in vs total tickets sold
  • Breakdown of check-ins per ticket type
  • Operators and their individual check-in counts

Reset All Tickets

The Reset All Tickets button reverts all tickets to their unchecked state — as if no one has been checked in yet.

⚠️ This action cannot be undone. You will be asked to enter your account password to confirm. All previous check-in records will be erased, and you will need to start the check-in process from scratch. Use with caution.

Guest List page

Click the Guest List link to access the check-in screen where you can search for and manually mark off attendees.

Searching for an attendee

Enter any of the following into the search field:

  • Barcode — using a Bluetooth or USB barcode scanner connected to your computer. Make sure the cursor is in the search field before scanning.
  • Attendee name — first name, last name, or both
  • Email address
  • Company name

Alternatively, leave the field blank to display all attendees. Use the alphabet bar to filter results by the first letter of the surname.

Checking in attendees

  1. Find the order in the search results and click it.
  2. The Tickets List for that order appears below, showing all tickets attached to the order.
  3. Select individual tickets to check in, or click Check-in All to mark the entire order as checked in.

Using a barcode scanner: If a ticket barcode is scanned and the cursor is in the search field, the ticket will be automatically checked in — provided it hasn't already been scanned.

Operators

The Operators section lets you set up and manage the people responsible for checking in attendees on the event day. Operators can use either the mobile app or the web-based Check-in Attendees tab to check in guests.

For instructions on adding and managing operators, see: How to add and manage Check-in App operators.

Most Common Scenarios and Questions

My barcode scanner isn't checking in tickets automatically.

  • Make sure the cursor is placed in the search field before scanning. Click inside the search box first, then scan the barcode.

I accidentally checked in the wrong attendee.

  • You can uncheck an attendee by clicking their name again in the Guest List and unchecking their ticket. If you need to reset all check-ins, use the Reset All Tickets button — but note this cannot be undone.

Can I use this tab on a tablet or mobile browser?

  • Yes — the Check-in Attendees tab is web-based and accessible from any browser, including on mobile devices. However, for dedicated mobile scanning, the Check-in App is recommended.

Can multiple operators use this tab at the same time?

  • Yes — multiple operators can check in guests simultaneously from different devices. Check-in data syncs in real time.

Is a Bluetooth or USB scanner supported?
