How to Buy Tickets on Sticky Tickets
How to find an event, select your tickets, and complete your purchase on Sticky Tickets.
You can purchase tickets for any event listed on Sticky Tickets quickly and securely online. Here's how.

Step 1 — Find the event
Find your event by:
- Clicking a direct event link shared by the organiser, or
- Searching for it by name at stickytickets.com.au using the search bar at the top of the page
Step 2 — Select your tickets

On the event page, click the Buy Tickets button. Choose the number and type of tickets you want to purchase.

Step 3 — Choose how to proceed
After selecting your tickets, you will see one of the following options depending on the event:
- Proceed to Checkout — takes you directly to checkout to complete your purchase now. This is available for all events.
- Add to Cart — available on some events where the organiser has enabled the shopping cart feature. This lets you add tickets from multiple events by the same organiser and pay for them all in one transaction, saving you time and allowing you to support multiple events at once.

Shopping cart not available? Not all events offer the Add to Cart option. It depends on whether the organiser has enabled it. If you don't see the Proceed to Checkout button, simply continue with your current order. You can always return to purchase tickets for other events separately.
Step 4 — Enter your details. At checkout you will be asked to provide:
- Your name and email address
- Ticket holder names, if required by the event organiser
Purchasing as a guest or as a member? You can complete your purchase without creating an account. However, creating an account makes it easier to access your tickets later. See: Do I need an account to purchase tickets?
Step 5 — Complete payment. Enter your payment details and confirm your purchase.
Accepted payment methods:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- American Express
- Gift voucher (if you have one from the event organiser — see: How to use a gift voucher at checkout)
American Express surcharge: Payments made with American Express include an additional 1.75% surcharge, payable by the ticket purchaser. This will be shown in your order total before you confirm.
Bank statement: Your payment will appear on your bank statement as Sticky Tickets Australia Pty Ltd.
Secure My Refund: Depending on the event organiser's settings, you may be offered the option to add Secure My Refund protection to your order before confirming payment. This is optional and may not appear for all events. For more information about this, see What is Secure My Refund and How Does It Work?
Step 6 — Receive your confirmation. After payment is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email containing:
- Your order receipt
- Your e-tickets, if the event organiser has enabled them
You can also access your tickets at any time from the My Tickets page.
No confirmation email? Check your spam or junk folder. If it's not there, go to My Tickets to check whether your order was placed. If your order shows there but no email arrived, contact our support team to have it resent.
Managing your cart
If the shopping cart is available for your event, you can review or remove tickets before checkout by clicking the cart icon in the top-right corner of the page.

- To remove a ticket, click the trash can icon next to it.
- To change the quantity, select the new number in the Quantity column, then click Proceed to Checkout.
Reservation timer: Tickets in your cart are held for 30 minutes. If you don't complete your purchase within this time, the tickets will be released and may become unavailable.
Most common SCENARIOS and questions
My payment was declined.

Check that your card details are entered correctly and that your card supports online transactions. If the problem continues, try a different card or contact your bank. See also: My payment was declined.
I didn't receive a confirmation email.

Check your spam or junk folder. If you still can't find it, go to the My Tickets page to check whether your order was placed. If your order shows there but no email arrived, contact our support team to have it resent.
My reservation expired before I could complete payment.

If your cart timer runs out, your tickets are released. Return to the event page to start the purchase again. If the event shows as sold out, contact the organiser to check availability.
I completed payment but my order isn't showing in My Tickets.

It may take a few minutes for your order to appear. Refresh the My Tickets page. If it still doesn't show after 10 minutes, contact our support team with your payment confirmation details — do not attempt to purchase again until confirmed, to avoid a duplicate charge.
Can I buy tickets without creating an account?

Yes — you can purchase as a guest without registering. However, creating an account makes it easier to access your tickets, request refunds, and manage your bookings later. See: Do I need an account to purchase tickets?
Can I buy tickets for multiple events at once?

Yes — if the shopping cart is available, you can use Add to Cart to add tickets from multiple events by the same organiser and pay for them together in one transaction. Keep in mind that the shopping cart only works across events owned by the same organiser. If you try to add a ticket from a different organiser's event, you will be prompted to clear your existing cart first before the new ticket can be added. If you don't see an Add to Cart option, the feature has not been enabled for that event — proceed directly to checkout instead.
How long are my tickets held in the cart?

30 minutes. If you don't complete your purchase within this time, the tickets are released and may no longer be available.
What payment methods are accepted?

Sticky Tickets accepts Visa, Mastercard, and American Express credit cards, and gift vouchers issued by event organisers. American Express payments include a 1.75% surcharge.
Is there a surcharge for paying with American Express?

Yes — a 1.75% surcharge applies to American Express payments. This is payable by the ticket purchaser and will be shown in your total before you confirm.
Can I use a gift voucher to pay for tickets?
