How to Use a Gift Voucher at Checkout
Apply a gift voucher at checkout — and what to do when the voucher amount is more or less than your total.
If you have a gift voucher from an event organiser, you can apply it at checkout to reduce or cover the cost of your ticket purchase.
Where does a gift voucher come from?
Gift vouchers can be purchased from an event organiser's page on Sticky Tickets — go to the organiser's page and click the Gift Vouchers tab to see what's available. Once purchased, your voucher code will be provided. The code is typically formatted with hyphens — for example, 7F6-2XE-TLO.
Before you start
- Organiser-specific: Vouchers can only be used for events run by the organiser listed on the voucher. They cannot be used on other organisers' events.
- One per order: Only one gift voucher can be applied per transaction.
- Have your code ready: A reservation timer runs at checkout. Have your voucher code ready before you reach the payment step to avoid your reservation expiring.
Steps to apply your gift voucher
Step 1 — Select your tickets
Go to the event page of the organiser who issued your gift voucher. Select the tickets you want and proceed to checkout.
Step 2 — Enter your voucher code
On the payment page, find the Gift Voucher section — it appears above the payment details section. Enter your voucher code in the field and click the Add Voucher button.

Voucher code format: Codes are typically formatted with hyphens — for example, 7F6-2XE-TLO. Enter the code exactly as shown, including hyphens.
Step 3 — Review the updated total
Once the voucher is applied, the payment summary will update to show the deduction. Check the updated total before confirming.

What happens next depends on your order total:

| Total equals voucher value | The credit card section disappears. Accept the Terms and Conditions and click Confirm Payment. (The Secure My Refund option may still appear — choose Yes or No as preferred.) |
| Total exceeds voucher value | Pay the remaining balance by credit card. Enter your card details to cover the difference. |
| Total is less than voucher value | The excess amount is forfeited — it cannot be refunded, transferred, or applied to a future purchase. Only apply your voucher to an order equal to or greater than the voucher value. |
Step 4 — Confirm payment
Once you confirm, you will be taken to the Order Successful page. A confirmation email with your receipt and e-ticket will be sent to the email address you entered at checkout.
Bank statement note: If a credit card was used to cover a remaining balance, the charge will appear as Sticky Tickets Australia Pty Ltd.
Most common scenario and questions
My voucher code isn't being accepted.

Check that you're entering the code exactly as shown, including hyphens. Make sure you're on the correct organiser's event page — vouchers are organiser-specific and won't work on other organisers' events.
The Add Voucher button isn't visible.

The Gift Voucher section only appears during checkout on eligible events. If you don't see it, the event may not accept gift vouchers. Contact the organiser to confirm.
My voucher was applied, but I want to remove it.

Click the × next to the voucher name in the payment summary to remove it and return to the standard payment options.
My voucher code says it's expired or already used.

Gift vouchers have an expiry date and can only be used once. Check the expiry date on your voucher. If you believe there is an error, contact our support team with the voucher code and your details.
What happens to the remaining balance if my voucher is worth more than my tickets?

The excess amount is forfeited — it cannot be refunded, transferred, or applied to a future purchase. Before applying the voucher, confirm that your order total is equal to or greater than the voucher value.
Can I use a gift voucher for any event on Sticky Tickets?

No. Gift vouchers are specific to the organiser or venue listed on the voucher. They cannot be used for other organisers' events.
Can I use multiple gift vouchers in the same order?

Can I use a gift voucher if I'm purchasing as a guest (without an account)?

How do I get a gift voucher?

You can purchase gift vouchers directly from an organiser's page on Sticky Tickets. You can purchase more than one voucher at a time. Once purchased, your voucher code will be provided for use at checkout.

- Click Buy next to the voucher you want to purchase.
- Fill out the required information and payment details.
