How to Add an Event to Your Calendar

Save your event to Apple, Google, Outlook, or Yahoo calendar directly from the event page.

The Sticky Tickets event page includes an Add to Calendar link that lets you save the event directly to your calendar app. This works with Apple Calendar (iCal), Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Office 365, and Yahoo Calendar.

How to add the event to your calendar

Option 1 — From the event page

  1. Go to the event page on stickytickets.com.au.
  2. Find the Add to Calendar link near the event date and time.
  3. Click the link and select your calendar app — Apple Calendar (iCal), Google Calendar, Outlook, Office 365, or Yahoo Calendar.
  4. Follow your calendar app's prompts to confirm. The event will be added to your calendar with the event name, date, time, and a link back to the event page.

Option 2 — From your confirmation email

After purchasing tickets, your confirmation email includes Add to Calendar links below the event details. Click the link for your preferred calendar app and follow the prompts to import the event.

Note: Adding an event to your calendar creates a calendar entry — it does not automatically set a reminder. You can add a reminder manually in your calendar app after the event is saved.


Most common scenarios and questions

I can't find the Add to Calendar link.

  • The link appears in two places: on the event page near the event date and time, and in your confirmation email below the event details. If you still can't find it, contact our support team.

The calendar entry is missing information (e.g. venue or time).

  • The calendar entry is populated with the details the event organiser has entered on the event page. If information is missing, it may not have been added by the organiser. Contact the organiser directly for full event details. See: How to contact the event organiser.

I clicked the link, but nothing happened. The behaviour depends on your calendar app:

  • Google Calendar — opens in a new browser tab.
  • Apple Calendar (iCal) — your device will prompt you to open the Calendar app. Allow the prompt and check the app.
  • Outlook or Office 365 — may open the app or browser depending on your setup. Follow the prompt.

If nothing happens at all, try a different browser or device.

  • Can I add the event to my calendar before buying tickets? Yes — the Add to Calendar link is available to all visitors on the event page, not just ticket purchasers. Keep in mind that saving to your calendar doesn't reserve or purchase a ticket. To buy tickets, use the Buy Tickets button on the event page.

Which calendar apps are supported?

  • Apple Calendar (iCal), Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Office 365, and Yahoo Calendar.

Will the calendar entry update if the organiser changes the event details?

  • No — the calendar entry is a snapshot of the event details at the time you added it. If the organiser changes the date, time, or venue, you will need to remove the existing entry and add it again from the updated event page.
