How to Pause and Resume Ticket Sales

You can pause ticket sales at any time without cancelling your event, and resume them again when you're ready.

How to pause ticket sales

  1. Log in to your account and open your event's Summary page.
  2. Select Stop Ticket Sales.
  3. Confirm by selecting Yes, pause ticket sales.

IMPORTANT: Pausing your event also removes it from the Check-in App — door staff won't be able to find or scan tickets for a paused event. If you want to stop new sales but still allow check-ins at the door, don't pause the event. Instead, go to the Edit Event page's ticket section and lower the event capacity to a number below your current tickets sold.

Once paused, your event status changes to Paused, and the button changes to Resume Ticket Sales. Your event page remains visible and searchable — purchasers just won't be able to buy tickets while it's paused.

How to resume ticket sales

  1. Log in to your account and open your event's Summary page.
  2. Select Resume Ticket Sales.
  3. Confirm by selecting Yes, resume selling tickets.

Ticket sales will continue as normal. Keep in mind that resuming doesn't change your original ticket sales end date — sales will still stop automatically once that date is reached (normally your event's start time).

Most common scenarios and questions

Will pausing my event affect the Check-in App?

  • Yes — a paused event isn't available on the Check-in App. If you need to stop sales while still allowing check-ins, lower your event capacity instead of pausing.

Does resuming ticket sales extend my sales cutoff?

  • No — your ticket sales end date (normally your event's start time) still applies. Resuming only re-enables sales up until that date.

What's the difference between pausing ticket sales and setting a Stop Selling Date?

  • Pausing stops sales for your entire event immediately, and can be reversed at any time by resuming. A Stop Selling Date is set per ticket type and stops sales for that specific ticket type once the date is reached — see our guide on cancelling and refunding tickets for an example of using this to prevent new sales while processing refunds.

Will my event still show up in search while paused?

  • Yes — your event page remains visible; ticket purchasers just won't be able to complete a purchase until you resume sales.
