Creating a Seating Plan

Our Seating Plan feature has undergone a significant upgrade, introducing several powerful capabilities. With this new version, you can now:

  1. Copy Tables, Sections, and Extras:

    • Easily duplicate tables, sections, and additional elements to streamline the seating plan creation process.
  2. Define the Number of Seats on Table Sides:

    • Customize the number of seats on each side of the table, providing greater flexibility in configuring your seating arrangements.
  3. Simultaneous Object Movement:

    • Enjoy the convenience of moving multiple objects at the same time, making adjustments more efficient.
  4. Skew a Section:

    • Introduce creative layouts by skewing sections, offering a dynamic and visually appealing aspect to your seating plan.

These enhancements are designed to empower you with more control and creativity when creating your event's seating.

 

 

1.   To create a seating plan, you must have a Reserve Seat ticket type. 

 

 

2.   Enter your ticket settings. For more information about these fields, please click here

 

3.   Click 'Save Changes' and then select Set Up Seating Plan.

 

 

4.   Enter the name of your seating plan.

 

 

5.   Add a SectionTableExtra, or Text to start designing your floor plan.

 

 

 

Adding A Section

 

When adding a section to your seating plan, follow these straightforward steps:

  1. Section Name:

    • Enter the desired section name in the Label field.
  2. Rows Configuration:

    • Set the number of rows within the section.
  3. Row Labels:

    • Input the label you prefer for each row. You can use letters or numbers for this.
  4. Row Label Direction:

    • Optionally, change the direction of the row labels for a customized layout.
  5. Seats per Row:

    • Specify the number of seats you would like in each row.
  6. Seat Labels:

    • Enter the label you wish to use for each seat, utilizing letters or numbers.
  7. Seat Label Direction:

    • Optionally, change the direction of the seat labels to suit your seating plan.
  8. Ticket Type Allocation:

    • Allocate the ticket type you wish to assign to the seat, row, or section.

 

Once done, click on the Save button to see how the section looks like

 

Customising Section Appearance

You can change the appearance of the section. To do this, click on the section you wish to update and the right panel settings utilise the 'Curve' and 'Skew' options to tailor the appearance of the section to your liking.

 

 

Allocate different or multiple ticket types for each row as needed, ensuring a diverse range of options for your attendees.

 

 

Use the 'Copy' button to duplicate a section efficiently. This is particularly useful for consistent layouts or when you want to replicate a specific configuration.

 

 

To edit the copied section, select it and click the 'Edit' button. You can then rename the label to suit your preferences.

 

 

Additionally, you can edit the label for a particular seat within the row, providing granular control over seat identification. (see new image below)

 

 

Adding a table

 

When adding a table:

To seamlessly add a table to your seating plan, follow these step-by-step instructions:

 

Table Name and Appearance:
  • Enter the table name in the Label field.
  • Select the desired shape and color for the table.

For Round Tables:

  • Specify the number of seats per table.
  • Set the starting point for seat labels (numbers or letters).
  • Define the direction of the seats.
  • Allocate the ticket type you wish to assign to the table.

For Rectangle Tables:

  • Specify the number of seats per table.
  • Enter the number of seats per side, and the system will distribute seats accordingly.
  • Set the starting point for seat labels (numbers or letters).
  • Define the direction of the seats.
  • Allocate the ticket type for the table.

 

Once done, click on the Save button to see how the section looks like

 

You can duplicate a table when you click on the Copy button. 

 

 

Access the Edit button to make adjustments to table settings, including label, shape/color, number of seats, etc. Save changes by clicking the Save button.

 

 

Additionally, you can edit the label for a specific seat within the table, providing detailed control over seat identification. (see new image below)

 

 

Adding Extra objects

 

 

When adding Extra objects:

 

  1. Enter the label of the object.
  2. Select the appropriate shape from the available options.
  3. Choose a color shading for the object.
  4. Click the Create button to add the object to the seating plan.

 

Once the seating plan is drafted, you can use the other editor features. 

 

 

Seating Plan Editor Features:

  1. Zoom In/Out:

    • Magnify or shrink the seating plan view for detailed adjustments.
  2. Grid:

    • Toggle the display of the grid (squares) in the seating plan background for precise alignment during editing (the grid won't display on the event page).
  3. Fit Screen:

    • Adjust the seating plan view to fit the screen.
  4. Reset:

    • Reverts the seating plan view to the default size.

 

Moving objects:

Select multiple objects simultaneously by pressing and holding the 'CTRL' button on your keyboard and clicking the objects you want to move together.

 

 

Setting up seat blocking options = (social distancing) - This feature automatically blocks a set number of seats on either side of an order to facilitate social distancing. If enabled, Once seats have been purchased the number of seats you set for blocking will automatically be unavailable for purchase on both sides of the order.

 

 

Click Save to save changes during drafting. Once final, click Publish to preview and finalize the seating plan on your event page.

 

Unblocking Seats allow you to unblock seats that were automatically blocked due to the seat blocking feature.

 

 

 

After publishing, export a PDF copy of your seating plan for reference.

 

 

Once your seating plan is published, it's ready for your audience, providing a visual guide to your event's seating arrangement.
