How to Add the Sticky Tickets' Ticket Widget to Your Website

Let visitors select and buy tickets without leaving your site

The Sticky Tickets widget lets visitors select and reserve tickets directly on your own website, instead of being sent to your Sticky Tickets event page.

TIP:  For a seamless look, match your Sticky Tickets event page styling to the page where you're adding the widget using the Custom Page Design feature.

What visitors experience

  1. They select and reserve tickets directly on your site via the widget.
  2. They complete the order form (personal details, ticket holders, payment if applicable) on our secure checkout.
  3. They're automatically returned to your site, where their order confirmation appears in an overlay on your page.
  4. After selecting Close Order Details, the overlay closes. The widget then shows a small confirmation message with a button to reopen the order details if needed.

How to set up the widget

  1. Log in to your Sticky Tickets account and go to the Promote/Marketing tab for your event.
  2. Copy the widget's HTML script tag from this page.
  3. Add the script tag to your webpage where you want the widget to appear.

If you're not comfortable editing your website's HTML, contact whoever built or manages your site for help adding the script tag.

If your website doesn't support scripts

Some website builders don't allow scripts or iframes to be added to a page — for example, wordpress.com doesn't support this. If your site is on a platform like this, use a direct link or our Buy Tickets button instead, which redirects visitors to your event page rather than embedding the widget.

You'll find your event's direct URL and Buy Tickets HTML code on the same Promote/Marketing page.

EXCEPTION: If you self-host your own WordPress site (rather than using wordpress.com), the widget can still be used.

Where do I get the widget code?

  • From the Promote/Marketing tab for your event — this is also where you'll find the direct link and Buy Tickets button code.

What's the difference between the widget and the Buy Tickets button?

  • The widget lets visitors select and reserve tickets directly on your page. The Buy Tickets button and direct link simply redirect visitors to your Sticky Tickets event page to complete their purchase.

Can I use the widget on a WordPress.com site?

  • No — wordpress.com doesn't support scripts or iframes. Use the direct link or Buy Tickets button instead. If you self-host your own WordPress site, the widget will work.
