When and how you get paid from ticket sales

Learn when your ticket revenue is paid, how payouts work, and your options for early access to funds.

When you sell tickets through Sticky Tickets, your revenue is transferred to your nominated bank account after your event is completed.

Before your event ends, make sure your bank account details are set up in your organiser settings. Go to Organiser Settings → Banking Details to confirm or update your details. Funds cannot be redirected after a payout has been initiated. 

When will I receive my funds?

Payments are released after your event has finished. Once your event is done, login to your account and mark the event as completed. This will trigger the transfer process of your ticket sales to your nominated bank account. Generally, funds should appear on your nominated bank account within 1 to 3 days depending on your bank process.

How much will I receive?

Your payout is your total ticket sales revenue minus the booking fee. You can review the financial breakdown for your event in your organiser dashboard before the event ends.

Why are payments made after the event?

Post-event payment is standard practice across ticketing platforms and protects both organisers and buyers. This ensures tickets are delivered before funds are released, reduces chargeback risk, and allows time to resolve any attendance issues before settlement.

Need funds before your event?

If you need access to your ticket revenue before the event, for example, to pay suppliers or cover venue costs; you can apply for the Payment Request Feature (PRF).

If approved:

  • You may access a portion of your ticket sales before your event

  • A $49 processing fee applies only if your application is approved

  • You will need to complete an application and provide identification

Important Notes

  • Early payout is not guaranteed and is subject to approval

  • Approved organisers may have access to PRF across multiple events

  • Standard payouts will still occur after your event

MOST COMMON QUESTIONS

My payout hasn't arrived after the expected timeframe.

  • Check if your bank account details in Organiser Settings are correct. If correct and the standard timeframe has passed, contact our support team with your event details.

The payout amount is less than I expected.

  • Review the event summary dashboard in your Sticky Tickets account for the fee breakdown. If you believe the amount is incorrect, contact our support team.

I need to update my bank account details.

  • Go to Organiser Settings → Payment Details before your event ends. If your event has already concluded, contact our support team immediately.
