Dine & Discover Vouchers (NSW)
For organisers that are eligible to accept NSW Dine & Discover Vouchers, we recommend incorporating the use of vouchers in your ticketing setup as follows. To check if you are an eligible business to accept Dine & Discover Vouchers click here to visit the Services NSW website.
If the value of your full-price ticket is less than $25 then we suggest you create Free tickets to incorporate the vouchers.
Example...
- Adult $25
- Child $15
- NSW Dine Voucher (1 voucher per person) You must present a valid voucher at the event. ($0)
- NSW Discover Voucher (1 voucher per person) You must present a valid voucher at the event. ($0)
If the value of your full-price ticket is more than $25, then we suggest you create separate ticket types with the cost being $25 less than the standard ticket cost
Example...
- Adult $40
- Child $30
- Adult with NSW Dine Voucher (1 voucher per person) You must present a valid voucher at the event. ($15)
- Adult with NSW Discover Voucher (1 voucher per person) You must present a valid voucher at the event. ($15)
Redeeming Vouchers...
When guests arrive at your event with any discounted Dine or Discover voucher tickets they will be identifiable by the name of their ticket…
The ticket type is also visible when using the Check-In app…
You will then need to scan, validate, and claim the vouchers for all guests upon arrival with appropriate ticket types using your ‘Service NSW for Business’ app.
If a valid voucher is not produced by the ticket holder, then you may opt to charge the voucher value of $25 for entry to make up the difference between the voucher ticket and the full-price ticket.
Additional Tips
- We suggest that you also add the following to your event name to make purchasers aware that you are accepting Dine & Discover vouchers... (Example) Event Name: International Woman's Day Lunch (NSW Dine Voucher Accepted).
- You may also like to specify T's & C's in the Event Description...
- Only 1 voucher per person can be used per day
- A valid voucher must be presented at the event, otherwise full price of the ticket paid
- Dine vouchers can only be used for events that are held Monday - Thursday
Note: The above T's & C's are based on details available from the Services NSW website, these details may change so we recommend you check their website to confirm that they are still valid.
Additional Details
To be eligible to accept Dine & Discover Vouchers, businesses must:
• Be operating in NSW
• Be operating in an eligible industry
• Be registered as a COVID Safe Business and have a COVID Safe Plan. To register as COVID Safe go to nsw.gov.au
Businesses registered as COVID Safe automatically receive the NSW Government COVID Safe Check-in QR code. Visit the nsw.gov.au website for more information.
To apply, businesses will need:
• An active MyServiceNSW Account
• Two personal identity documents
• A valid business bank account
• An active Australian Business Number (ABN) and be registered for GST. To be accepted into the scheme, registration information will be validated with the ABN. Businesses will need to ensure their details are correct and make any updates via the Australian Business Register.
