You can control exactly when a ticket type becomes available for purchase, and when sales for it close — independently of your event's own start and end times.
How to change it
- Log in to your Sticky Tickets account.
- Open the event you want to update.
- Select Edit Event from the left-hand menu.
- Scroll to the Tickets section and select the ticket type you want to modify.
- Update the fields:
- Start Selling – By default, tickets start selling as soon as your event goes live. To delay this, set a specific date and time instead. You can also choose to show purchasers an upcoming sale start date on your event page before sales actually open.
- Stop Selling – By default, sales close when your event starts. To close sales earlier, set an earlier date and time. To keep selling tickets past your event's start date, set a later date and time.
- Select Save Changes.

Most common scenarios and questions
Will this affect ticket purchasers who've already bought tickets?

No — changing these times only affects future sales. Purchasers who already have tickets aren't impacted.
Can different ticket types in the same event have different sales windows?

Yes — Start Selling and Stop Selling are set per ticket type, so each can have its own sales window.
What happens if someone is mid-checkout when Stop Selling is reached?

Once the Stop Selling time passes, the ticket type is no longer available for new purchases. We'd recommend setting your Stop Selling time with a small buffer if you want to avoid cutting off purchasers already partway through checkout.
