How to Transfer Your Tickets to Another Event

Submit a transfer request to move your tickets to a different event run by the same organiser.

You can request to transfer your tickets to another event, as long as both events are managed by the same organiser and the organiser has enabled transfer requests for your event.

Before you start — check that you're eligible:

  • The Transfer button must be visible on your ticket in My Tickets. If it's not there, the organiser has not enabled transfers for this event — contact the organiser directly.
  • The event you want to transfer to must be run by the same organiser.
  • If there is a price difference between your current ticket and the new event, the transfer cannot be processed through the platform. You will need to resolve any price difference directly with the organiser.
  • Submitting a transfer request does not guarantee approval. All requests are reviewed and approved by the event organiser.

How to submit a transfer request

If you have a Sticky Tickets account:

  1. Log in to your Sticky Tickets account and go to My Tickets.
  2. Under the Upcoming Events tab, find the event you want to transfer from.
  3. Click the Transfer Tickets button.

  4. Select the ticket or tickets you want to transfer.
  5. Choose the destination event from the list of eligible events by the same organiser.
  6. Add a brief message for the organiser explaining your reason for the transfer.
  7. Click Continue.
  8. On the next page, confirm the ticket you are transferring and provide your reason for the request.
  9. Click Submit to send the request to the organiser for review.

If you purchased as a guest

  1. Go to the My Tickets page.
  2. Locate your tickets using one of the following:
    • Order number and email address — enter both and click Search, or
    • Credit card details — enter the first 6 digits, last 3 digits, and transaction date, then click Search.
  3. Once your tickets appear, click the Transfer Tickets button next to the event you want to transfer from.
  4. Select the ticket or tickets you want to transfer.
  5. Choose the destination event from the list of eligible events by the same organiser.
  6. Add a brief message for the organiser explaining your reason for the transfer.
  7. Click Continue.
  8. Confirm the ticket you are transferring and provide your reason for the request.
  9. Click Submit to send the request to the organiser for review.

What happens after you submit

  • Your request is sent to the organiser for review.
  • The organiser will contact you by email with their decision.
  • Response times vary depending on the organiser.
  • If approved, your ticket will be transferred to the new event.

No response after a reasonable time? Contact our support team with your order details and a summary of your request — we'll assist where possible.

Important — Secure My Refund

If you purchased Secure My Refund protection: Your Secure My Refund protection does not carry over to the transferred ticket. Once your tickets are transferred to a new event, your Secure My Refund protection on the original ticket is no longer valid.

Please note that an incorrect purchase of tickets doesn't fall under the terms and conditions of using the Secure My Refund service. We recommend 


Most common questions and situations

The Transfer button isn't showing on my tickets.

  • The organiser has not enabled transfer requests for this event. Contact the organiser directly using the Ask the Organiser button on the event page or the contact details in your confirmation email.

The event I want to transfer to isn't appearing in the list.

  • Only events managed by the same organiser will appear as eligible destinations. If you want to transfer to an event run by a different organiser, this is not available through the platform. You can choose to request a refund (if within the event's refund policy)

My transfer request was rejected because of a price difference.

  • If the ticket for the new event has a different price from your current ticket, the transfer cannot be processed automatically. Contact the organiser directly to arrange the transfer and resolve any price adjustments outside the platform.

I submitted a transfer request, but haven't heard back.

  • Response times depend on the organiser. If you haven't received a response after a reasonable period, contact our support team with your order details.

Can I transfer my ticket to an event by a different organiser?

  • No. Transfers are only available between events managed by the same organiser.

Can I transfer only some of the tickets in my order?

  • Yes. During the transfer process, you can select which tickets to include in the request — you don't have to transfer all tickets in your order.

What happens if there is a price difference between my current ticket and the new event?

  • If there is any price variance, the transfer cannot be processed through the platform. You will need to contact the organiser directly to arrange the transfer and resolve the price difference — this may involve paying the difference or receiving a partial adjustment.

Will my Secure My Refund protection carry over to the new event?

  • No. Secure My Refund protection is linked to your original ticket. Once the ticket is transferred, the protection on the original ticket is no longer valid.

Does submitting a transfer request guarantee my tickets will be moved?

  • No. All transfer requests are reviewed and approved by the event organiser. Submitting a request does not automatically move your tickets.

How long does it take for the organiser to respond?

  • Response times vary by organiser. If you haven't received a response after a reasonable time, contact our support team.
