Editing Your Event

A quick guide to every editable section of your event, with links to detailed guides where available

Once your event is set up, you can update almost every part of it at any time from the Edit Event tab.

NOTE:  If your event is still Live but its original date/time has already passed, changing the date, time, or venue requires assistance from our support team — contact support@stickytickets.com.au.

How to get started

  1. Log in to your Sticky Tickets account and go to My Events.
  2. Select the event you want to update.
  3. Go to the Edit Event tab.
  4. Select the edit icon on the section you want to change.
  5. Select Save Changes after editing each section.

Name

Update your event's name at any time. Select Save Changes to confirm.

Event Date

Update your event's Start Date, Start Time, and Timezone. Changing the date after ticket sales have started doesn't affect when ticket sales began.

NOTE: Changes in the date or time of your event will send notifications to all existing ticket purchasers. Click here to view an example of the email notification.

Want to customise how your event's date and time are labelled (e.g. "Doors Open" instead of "Start Time")? See: How to customise your event date and time labels

Event Location

Update your Venue Name and Venue Address (via Change Address), toggle Show Map, and add or update Special Instructions — these also appear on order confirmations and e-tickets.

NOTE: Changes in event's location will send notifications to all existing ticket purchasers.

Organiser Details

Update the contact details shown to ticket purchasers: Name, Organisation Name, Phone Number (optional), and Email Address (required — used for enquiries and confirmations).

Refund Policy

You can update your refund policy at any time, even after tickets have been sold. Changes only apply going forward — anyone who already purchased a ticket keeps the refund policy that applied when they booked.

For the full rules on Secure My Refund locking and toggling, see: Turn off secure my refund for ticket purchases

Description

Edit your event's full description and formatting. You can also upload images directly into the description text.

Tickets

Manage event capacity, booking fee settings, e-ticket delivery, ticket holder details, waitlist, and invoice payment options.

For multi-session events, you can apply ticket setting changes per session or across all sessions using the checkbox provided.

Promotional Codes

Edit your promotional code settings and select Save Changes.

See our guide on: Creating promotional codes for your event

For multi-session events, you can apply promo code changes per session or across all sessions using the checkbox provided.

Privacy

Choose whether your event is Public (promoted by Sticky Tickets and discoverable via search) or Private (accessible only via a direct URL you share).

  • Search Categories — only available for Public events. Select one or more categories to help ticket purchasers find your event when browsing. This field doesn't control public/private status itself — it only appears once your event is set to Public.
  • Attendees Visible — shows a guest list at the bottom of your event page. Purchasers can still choose to appear as anonymous.
  • Allow Sharing — lets attendees share your event via Facebook or send-to-a-friend. Available for both Public and Private events.

Use the Preview link at any point to see how your changes look before publishing.
