Add raffle ticketing to your event page
Learn how to use Group Tickets to reduce booking fees and offer better value for raffle ticket purchasers.
If you're using Sticky Tickets to sell raffle tickets, the most cost-effective option is to use the Group Ticket feature. Group Tickets allow you to bundle multiple raffle tickets into a single purchase, significantly reducing booking fees for purchasers.
This is especially useful for fundraising events, charity raffles, school raffles, and prize draws where attendees commonly purchase multiple tickets at once.
Why Use Group Tickets for Raffles?
Example Scenario: You want to sell raffle tickets for $5 each.
Option 1: Single Ticket Type
If you create a standard single raffle ticket priced at $5, the booking fee will be $1 per ticket. If a purchaser buys 10 tickets individually:
-
Ticket total: $50
-
Booking fees: approximately $10 total
Option 2: Group Ticket Bundle (Recommended)
Instead, create a Group Ticket bundle that has 10 raffle tickets for $50
In this setup:
-
Purchasers still receive 10 individual raffle tickets
-
The booking fee is calculated on the bundled price
-
The booking fee is significantly lower per ticket
For example:
-
Total booking fee: approximately $9
-
Effective booking fee per raffle ticket: approximately $0.90 each
This can save purchasers in booking fees compared to buying 10 single tickets individually.
